ABOUT THE CARBON CREDIT

Agricultural intelligence. Grounded in evidence.

The Carbon Credit is the public-facing brand of Panjdhara Private Limited. We focus on agricultural carbon project development and evidence-based MRV, starting with Direct Seeded Rice in Punjab, India.

OUR PURPOSE

Better decisions start
with better context.

Agricultural monitoring brings together information collected in different ways, at different times and for different purposes. Meaningful assessment requires those sources to remain connected to the land and activities they describe.

Our approach centers on an evidence graph: a connected record that makes provenance, uncertainty and review decisions inspectable. Our initial focus is Direct Seeded Rice and agricultural carbon projects in Punjab.

Credibility comes from showing what evidence supports — and what it does not. We do not present estimates as verified results or imply certification without the appropriate evidence.

“From the soil to the proof.”

Punjab rice-wheat systems, irrigation patterns and farmer networks shape our first public use case. Project evidence requirements and outcomes depend on the applicable program and methodology.

WHERE WE GREW UP

Faridkot ਫ਼ਰੀਦਕੋਟ

Our roots are in Faridkot, in the Malwa belt. Here the year follows paddy and wheat: canal water on the fields in summer, straw decisions after harvest, and long talks at the mandi about prices and credit. We grew up seeing how much work farmers do that never gets written down. The Carbon Credit started with that question: how do we make good practices on the field visible and trusted?

CAPABILITY STATUS

Platform design · capabilities described below are proposed unless explicitly identified as available. Product examples are illustrative, not live monitoring or verified results. Implementation and integrations are agreed for each program.

01 / IN DETAIL

Mission: make agricultural evidence usable, traceable and scalable

The Carbon Credit is building an agricultural intelligence and MRV platform connecting observations, geospatial data, agricultural activities and evidence-based assessment workflows. Our mission is to help organizations understand what happens on agricultural land, evaluate the evidence behind claims and produce traceable information for operational and environmental decisions.

02 / IN DETAIL

Vision: common evidence infrastructure

The ambition is reusable infrastructure across crops, practices, regions and programs, rather than a separate system for every location. Field-level information should support program-level reporting without losing its context, uncertainty or interpretation boundaries.

03 / IN DETAIL

Why The Carbon Credit exists

Collecting more agricultural information does not necessarily establish what that information supports. The gap lies between raw data and accountable interpretation. The Carbon Credit’s intended approach links collection, source traceability, methodology-based analysis, review and reporting into one coherent workflow.

04 / IN DETAIL

Operating principles

Evidence comes before claims. Methods and limitations should be transparent, and human responsibility should survive automation. Interoperability supports appropriate exchange; privacy reflects consent and purpose; scalability means repeating a tested workflow, not making unsupported deployment claims.

  • Evidence before claims.
  • Transparency over black boxes.
  • Human accountability.
  • Purpose-limited interoperability.
  • Privacy by design.
  • Repeatable workflows across contexts.

Build, evaluate, improve

Start with a specific measurable problem, define data requirements and test the workflow. Evaluate evidence quality and operational performance, improve the method using those findings and expand only when implementation is repeatable.

Founder biographies, responsibilities and expertise will be published after confirmation and approval. No advisors or institutional affiliations are implied.
